Announcing The EVOLVE Academy

As we look ahead to next year and continue our planning for a post-pandemic environment, our goal is to ensure we provide opportunities for all our families.

We know that some of our students and parents may be hesitant to return to in person learning next year. We are also aware that many of our students are currently thriving in an all remote environment. This is what has led us to develop the EVOLVE Academy, an all remote academy we intend on offering next school year.

That being said, the first step in developing this program is determining the level of interest in our school community.

Below you will find a resource guide I encourage you to read carefully. This guide contains many important details about the EVOLVE Academy. After reviewing, if you are interested in enrolling your child as an EVOLVE student next school year, we ask that you please complete this general interest survey

You Will Still Have Questions
Please understand many unknowns still remain and will likely not be answered until we have this initial data from our families. More specifically, which grade levels we will be targeting, class size projections and teacher assignments will all be driven by where there is need and interest. Therefore, if initially this sounds like something your family would be interested in, please complete the survey.

There is Time to Decide -- And More Information Will Follow
The general interest survey will be open until April 30, 2021. After the survey closes, Dr. Annetta Spychalski, who will be overseeing the program, will contact you to set up a meeting to discuss more details about EVOLVE Academy, determine eligibility and discuss the official application process.

In The Meantime….Reach Out!
We encourage you to reach out directly to Dr. Spychalski (aspychalski@sd44.org). We want to connect with you and work with our families to ensure this is the right fit for you and your children.

So much has been learned from this past school year, and I am so excited about the possibility of running the EVOLVE Academy.
